Proyecto Bodega Finca LB
El valle catamarqueño de Santa María, 100 kilómetros al sur de Cafayate, se presenta como una de las nuevas regiones de expansión de la vitivinicultura argentina. La bodega Finca LB se ubica en este paraje grandioso, integrante del histórico sistema de valles calchaquíes, próximo a valiosos asentamientos precolombinos como las Ruinas de Quilmes, y su edificio principal se encuadra estéticamente en la arquitectura colonial típica del noroeste argentino, que responde con una gran sensibilidad al paisaje del lugar. Al mismo tiempo, la construcción posee un gran rigor funcional y responde a las necesidades técnico-enológicas del siglo XXI. El conjunto está concebido para crecer en diferentes etapas, conformando una sucesión de patios y galerías encolumnadas que ayudan a mitigar el fuerte sol del lugar al crear una zona de transición entre el espacio interior y el exterior.

The Santa Maria valley in Catamarca, 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of Cafayate, is one of the new expanding areas of viticulture in Argentina. The Finca LB winery is located in this great landscape, and integrated in the historic valley system of the Calchaquí region. It is also close to valuable pre-Columbian settlements, like the ruins of Quilmes. Its main building aesthetically fits in the typical colonial architecture of northwestern Argentina, which shows great sensitivity toward landscape. At the same time, the building has a very rigorous functionality and responds to 21st century’s technical requirements for winemaking. The set is designed to grow in different stages, forming a succession of courtyards and peristyle galleries that help mitigate the region’s heat to create a transition zone between the interior and the exterior.
